Founder & GMD
I did not come to real estate from finance. I came to it from the site — from years of standing on unfinished slabs in Abuja, watching how a building is actually made, and how often it is made badly.
The Builders Residence exists because I got tired of watching good money buy poor construction. We build the way I would build for my own family, and we invite a small number of partners and investors to build alongside us.
We do not market a development on land we have merely optioned. If our name is on it, we own it and the title has already survived scrutiny.
Running six projects means the principal is on every site. Specification decisions are made by someone who has poured concrete, not by a spreadsheet.
If a buyer wants something we think is a bad idea structurally, we say so. Several times that has cost us the deal. It has never cost us a building.
On several developments we retain units rather than selling out entirely. It concentrates the mind on how the building will age.
We manage several of our completed buildings. That means we live with our own detailing decisions for years, and we learn from them.
Our market analysis and construction notes are public, including the parts that are inconvenient for us commercially.
Finished, occupied, and available to visit. We would rather you judged us on these than on a brochure.
